Finally, Jersey Boys will commence it’s Sydney season in September 2010! Jersey Boys, the Tony Award-winning Best Musical of 2006 that takes you up the charts, and across the country. Jersey Boys is the story of how four boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi became the Four Seasons, they wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide, all before they were thirty. Jersey Boys features their hit songs “Sherry”, “Big Girls Don’t Cry”, “Rag Doll”, “Oh What a Night” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”, among others. An industrial set of chimney stacks and metal - the unforgiving streets of Newark and the Mob links which would lead to the group’s implosion are worn with pride from the start, with bass player Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi doing time in jail. Yes, it’s a warts-and-all story laced with tragedy but in the end, as Frankie says, "all there was, was the music". Head to Sydney for a matinee performance of Jersey Boys. Dinner is included at Campbelltown Catholic Club. More dates will be available for tours in 2011.
